Summary: Gigi invites Alex and Harper to her annual tea party which Alex tries to convince Harper not to go to. Alex learns that Gigi plans to embarrass Harper by crowning her the biggest loser, so she uses her magic to get back at her and save Harper from humiliation. Meanwhile, Justin and Max send out prank mail, including one where they claim they're lost on an island in "The Lava Sea," and they receive unwanted help from emergency wizards.

1.08 Curb Your Dragon

Summary: Alex buys Justin an enchanted dragon disguised as a Beagle, because she felt bad she had lost his other dog, Willie, years ago. However, since it can still breathe fire and fly they have to hide from their parents that the dog is a dragon saying it's a lost dog and gluing up posters. One day, while they're at school, the dragon seller comes back, claims the dog and enters it in the local dog show where Alex, Justin, and Max must outsmart the dragon seller and retrieve Dragon.

Summary: Tired of being treated young, Alex wants to go to an R-rated movie with Justin's friends and accidentally transports herself into the movie. When Justin finds out, he transports himself into the movie to save her. Meanwhile, Theresa treats Max like he's a little kid, because she thinks Alex and Justin are growing up too fast.

1.10 Pop Me and We Both Go Down

Summary: When Justin gets a big zit on his forehead right before the school dance, Alex tries to get rid of it and accidentally uses the animation spell on it causing Justin to face trouble his zit gets him into at the dance. Meanwhile, Alex searches for her father's trophy she also accidentally animated so she can learn the reversal spell to unanimate Justin's zit.

1.11 Potion Commotion

Summary: Justin wants to be chosen for the World School Summit at the U.N., but he faces tough competition from a popular classmate Alex is infatuated with. Alex plans to use a love potion to make him fall in love with her also helping Justin to sabotage his meeting, but she accidentally drinks both halves of it, causing Alex to fall in love with herself. Max gets his full powers and must wear a goofy hat to control them while his powers settle in, but due to Alex drinking both halfs of the potion she also needs the hat to avoid having a big head. This of course leads to trouble.

1.12 Justin's Little Sister

Summary: When everyone constantly compares Alex to Justin, Alex uses a magical genie to wish that she would no longer be compared to him, but when the Genie cons her and makes everyone forget his existence, Alex has to try to reverse the spell which causes more trouble ending up with Justin becoming invisible.

Summary: Jerry's zany brother, Kelbo Russo, visits. He shows the kids a different style of wizard training (actually letting them use their powers). Alex wants to make Kelbo her teacher. However, their lesson turns into a mess and Jerry has to save Alex and Kelbo, revealing a secret about Jerry.

1.17 Report Card

Summary: Alex, Justin, and Max get their wizard report cards. To hide the fact that she did not do well, Alex tries to destroy the report card. In a panic, Alex turns her parents into guinea pigs. After Headmaster Crumbs finds out Alex lied about her parents and her report card, he suspends Alex's powers. Meanwhile, Max and Justin lose the guinea pigs, unknown to them, they are their parents.

Summary: Riley breaks up with Alex seeing she is jealous all the time. She plans to make him jealous and transforms a mannequin into a man with the animation spell naming him Manny Kin. However, he falls in love with her and develops emotions, which prevents Alex from being able to change Manny back into a mannequin. Alex then tries to make Manny fall in love with Calico Woman, Justin's precious action figure by animating her too. Riley realizes that he himself got jealous and decided to go back with Alex. Meanwhile, Justin is left in charge of the house when his parents go out of town and his position of authority goes to his head.

Summary: The family prepares for Alex's quinceaera, a traditional celebration to mark her 15th birthday, but she doesn't want to wear the customary frilly ball gown and casts a spell to swap bodies with her mother, who never had a quinceaera of her own. Also, joining in the party is Grandma Magdalena, who tries to teach the boys how to salsa dance. But she soon forgets to teach the boys so they use the Body Switching spell with the dance instructors to make it look like they had learned the dance. In the end, Alex does make it back to her body before sundown, and Grandma Magdalena finds the Magic Lair but thinks it is a wrestling room.

Summary: When Alex decides to take a shortcut on her Art History assignment, she brings historical masterpieces to life in order to answer questions on her worksheet correctly. Meanwhile, Max and Jerry play football in the house using a spell which spreads to Theresa.
